... not sure what to think of this. On the face of it, yes: the men should be locked up, for it's an heinous crime. I'm, though, not saying that under-age sex should be allowed, but if the island is subject to UK law, then surely as a UK outpost it must have some form of UK consulate?
As far as I am aware, Pitcarn is independent - with the mutiny of the Bounty, the sailors absolved themselves of UK citizenship.
Therefore, they probably have their own rules, and we all know, the UK has the highest age of consent in Europe, whereas our European neighbours range from 12 upwards.
Hard to make a decision on this, but the island itself is a prison of sorts - extremely isolated, it's not has if the men can easily escape (unless of course they put Reliance in charge) - so maybe they should be banned from leaving, with periodic police inspections.
