With regard to my earlier post about Quatermass and the Pit, news has sadly reached me about the death of it's creator Nigel Kneale, who passed away at the age of 84 last Sunday.
No mention on the BBC News site, though - he's obviously not as important as Muffin the Mule's 60th birthday.
