This is no fluffy-eared enviromental argument, but is it really necessary to have a Cardiff-Anglesey airlink?
And if, after three years, the venture isn't commercially viable and the public subsidy ends, will it just be a few million quid down the swanney, which could've been used to improve the existing public transport links between north and south Wales?
Of course, why didn't they think of that?
But, aircraft are so much sexier than trains, and in today's hustle-bustle world, where a jet-setting company executive in Cardiff must get to a high-powered business meeting in Llangefni in less than an hour, then the 40min air journey is a must.

I've travelled quite a bit in Wales (I love the place) and appreciate that some of the roads aren't, ah, perhaps, ah, conducive to quick travel but come on? Everyone else is talking about carbon footprints so now we fly people from Cardiff (nice place) to Anglesey (so that they can go to the sealife centre?).
::raises eyebrow:: Isn't that just a couple hours' drive? Maybe I can get someone in Wichita to have an airplane fly us from one side of the city to the other.
